Mechanical Behaviors and Numerical Simulation Analysis of a New Isolation System

Finite element analysis is one of the key steps in evaluating effectiveness an isolation system. The aim this paper to research mechanical properties sliding and rolling friction systems their application for isolating frame structures. A hybrid seismic system proposed, which aims protect superstructure by reducing dynamic response. effect different parameters on coefficient bearing was tested using a compression-shear testing machine, results showed that various significantly affected coefficient. In addition, numerical finite model established SAP2000 software compare performance with traditional seismic-resistant composite not only effectively reduced inter-story shear acceleration, but also slightly enhanced as decreased.
